Island Life

Having lived in the Bahamas as a child, I have a definite affinity for island inspired interiors. I am not speaking of the forced, cliche "picture of a palm tree", faux island interior one would see at The One and Only but rather spaces which are easy, unpretentious and eclectic (often by necessity). Island Life, Inspirational Interiors by design maven, India Hicks, is a testimony to these interiors. At DOXA we celebrate taking a barefoot approach to luxury and the photos in this wonderful book personify that ideology. Our design projects and boutique are about pulling individual pieces together as opposed to purchasing "sets" of furniture, we hope this post inspires you to do the same.
