Ethiopian Inspiration

Vicente Wolf, the man whose work sparked my interest in interior design, shares his passion for travel with us in his latest book, Crossing Boundaries. We are not only treated to beautiful images, which are shot on film by Vicente Wolf himself as he is a noted photographer, but we also get to see how he translates these images into chic, modern interiors. I have always adored his global sensibility and his "seemingly" understated approach. His interiors are fluid, in the sense that they are neither traditional nor contemporary, formal nor casual and for the most part the palettes are sensed rather than discerned. The photos above are pulled from his chapter on Ethiopia, I hope you enjoy them as much as I have, go out and get the book, you will not be disappointed, that I can promise. I hear he has a new one on its way....

Thank you for the post! I am indeed working on a new book - set for release in Fall 2010 (these tings take so much time). It will focus on the design process, from beginning to end and I'm again including photos from my travels around the world.
