Spring Season West Elm Picks

At DOXA we love to mix high and low brow pieces in our projects.  While DOXA Home, our retail store, focuses on boutique home furnishings and accessories, our design firm, DOXA Design Group, frequently utilizes DOXA Home product along side inexpensive finds from both vintage shops and big box stores as well as antique pieces and custom designs from a myriad of trade only vendors.  Here are my wallet friendly picks of West Elm's newest introductions, please feel free to share your favorite pieces:





Eco Friendly Rug Pad....genius;

Looped Wool Safari Rug

Crinkle Cotton  Window Panels...I love using sheers, they allow the most beautiful light in the daytime and are a wonderful way to create layers and add texture to an interior.

Butler Table with  Low Stand.  I love it in the lacquered blue finish and think they would look great when used in pairs, floating in front of a sofa!

Opaque Linen Window Panel...beautiful color, so flexible.  I often have my workroom sew panels together to create a more lush feel to ready made window panels, if necessary you may have the length altered as well.  To create a more custom look, you may apply tape or trim of your liking to the lead edge and/or across the bottom of the panel.  This is a great way to manage your budget if you find you need to do so.

Jute and Leather Rug.  I want this for myself!  I love it, a great alternative to seagrass.

Etched Square Silk Pillow, great as it is 20".  I hate throw pillows any smaller than 20", and ready made pillows are notoriously paltry in size and often look cheap for that reason alone.  I would most definitely splurge on a good quality down fill, it makes a world of difference.

The famous Parson Desk with Drawers but in the this FAB new color!  A great way to introduce a color trend without breaking your bank.

Top Drawer Side Table.  This little table would make a wonderful nightstand in a  room where space is limited, it even has the much appreciated drawer;)  It could be fun to experiment with paint on these tables, perhaps paint the wood base and drawer pull or even have an auto painter lacquer the entire piece...I'm loving that idea!

 

Bamboo Birdcage.  I would love to play with painting these as well, additionally they could easily be wired as pendants.  How fun would a collection of these be once hung from a ceiling, painted or natural as offered?!

 

Cylinder Wood Vase Collection.  Always appropriate, a great staple to have in your personal collection of plant containers.

Rustic Leather Top Window Panel.  Fabulous, I would love to use these with pieces from our Jackson Hole Collection, you will definitely need to use multiple panels as they look a bit skimpy when used as shown.

Modern Strip Silk Window Panel, that lovely combination of gray and gold;)

 Crinkle Cotton Window Panel in Amethyst

Tall Drum Pendant.  This chic lilac paper shade is lined in silver, sure to cast gorgeous light.
