I'm Back.....

Well, it seems I have been absent from the world of blogging for forever!  We, er...I,  installed two Showhouse rooms utilizing only local, independently owned Tampa Bay businesses.  Everything was used as is and nothing was recovered, ordered or made especially for the spaces, with the exception of the damask painted walls in the study, which were beautifully executed  by Splat Paint.  Our gracious donors' inventories were changing up until the last minute and with that, the entire rooms' designs, so needless to say, it was incredibly stressful up until the last bloom was placed.  Now that it is all said and done, I have to say it was well worth it.  I'll be sharing more about all of that later.

In the meantime, inspired by the amazingly GORGEOUS weekend we had this past week, I want to share some of my most favorite tropical pools.  I guess after this past winter, I am hoping my paying homage to my favorite sun soaked spaces will encourage more of our precious sun's presence, lol!  And I live in FLORIDA so I can not even imagine what my Northwestern, Midwestern and Northeastern friends are having to put up with!

I have been collecting these images for several years as I am using them as inspiration for the day I am finally able to develop mi own lil piece of land in Treasure Beach, Jamaica...ya mon.  You can read more about this country I love, here, here and here.

I hope these images will serve as a beacon of hope for all my fellow sun worshipers;)

Note the exterior curtains fabricated of greenery...FABULOUS;)

Soon come...

You have been such a busy woman Jaime but happy to read another one of your incredible posts. The pools and views were as if you had to shake your head in disbelief as to what you are seeing, they are so incredible. In my humble opinion owning a pool is my most cherished pleasure. Even if I never got in it, they are so lovely to look at. All of these, just all the more.
Happy weekend to you dear Jaime and wishing you more sunny skies ahead xoxo

I have been really inspired by pool images lately...these are some beauties!

If you are on facebook, check out Howard Design Studio, one of the premiere landscape architecture firms in Atlanta. They just did a facebook post with some pools from past projects, and they are incredible!
